After careful consideration by its Board, the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area Community School will be suspending operations effective January 24, 2014

This hiatus will enable the School to refocus on its mission-eliminating the significant disparities that plague African-American boys in Oakland, the Bay Area, and beyond. In the interim, the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area Community School is coordinating with the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) to assist affected families. The Board remains committed to resuming operations and appreciates the support extended by the community thus far.

Parents of 100 Black Men of the Bay Area Community School can call the school office, , with questions, concerns, and requests for greater assistance. Whether the child has “help me write my essay or "I can write my essay but I don't know how to edit it" ” request or any other issue, we’re here to help.  Additionally Parents can contact the OUSD Student Assignment Center or  for further guidance and support through the transition process.
